Bank transfers go mobile

Customers of Loyds TSB bank in the UK can transfer funds between accounts within the same bank via their mobile.

Will be a while till its available in Sri Lanka for sure.

'This new development will allow consumers to download some simple software to phones with internet access and a colour screen. They will then enter a six-digit security code before they can view their balance or transfer money between their own Lloyds TSB accounts.'

But an expert has said that "Industry innovation is unlikely to be at the top of banks' agendas at the moment,".

'The appropriate almost-awake moments are detected by using a microphone and statistical analysis of voices. During the last 20 minutes before the ultimate alarm time, the analysis is activated to give a soft alarm signal, if there are movements indicating that the sleeping subject is awake or "almost awake'
